ADULTS

I work thoughtfully to assist individuals who search for a deeper understanding of self and who want support through various life transitions, loss and relationship issues. If you choose to work with me, you can expect to meet in a comfortable, safe, environment where we will explore your reasons for counseling, develop a plan, and implement strategies for improving coping skills, stress management techniques, and thoughtful problem solving. I will work mindfully, and compassionately to help you confront difficult choices and support you to make the changes necessary for creating balance in your life.

ADOLESCENTS

As an experienced school-based therapist, I am committed to supporting and challenging your teenager to make the choices that are necessary in order to become a healthy-functioning, and productive adult. I understand the struggles and the pressures that adolescents face in today's world and I am here to give your teenagers the added guidance, skills, and support they need as they wrestle with developing their identity in these crucial years. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable and confidential environment for them to vent, learn and grow. Whether they are struggling with issues related to divorce, anxiety, friendships, self esteem, or depression, my job is to help your teenager define themselves in a way that will challenge them to grow into a healthy and whole person with values, strengths, and a strong identity.

Pathways: Discovering Common Ground in Families

In 2005 Beth Kelley, LPC and her colleague Sheila Karpan, LCSW developed an innovative parent/child group called Pathways: Discovering Common Ground in Families. Pathways, is a 6 week course focused around bettering communication in families during the pre-adolescent and difficult adolescent years. The classes are dynamic and families learn new ways of communicating in a fun and safe group experience. Pathways, is currently being offered at various schools in the Metro Denver area and will be available at MDS Counseling Center. For more information, please contact Beth Kelley.
