BETH LEVIN KELLEY, MA, LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been working with children, adolescents and adults since 2001. As a trained Level 1 EMDR (Eye Movement Reprocessing Desensitization) therapist, I integrate this powerful technique into my general practice, along with other evidence-based therapies like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). My style as a therapist is direct and engaging, and I often use warm humor, when appropriate.
The eclectic approach I use is grounded in the contributions and philosophies of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) as well as Humanistic and Existential Psychology. I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Regis University and a Graduate Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution (Mediation) from the University of Denver.
In addition to my private practice I am currently working as a school based therapist at Arrupe Jesuit High School. Arrupe is a college preparatory school for economically disadvantaged students, and is part of a larger Jesuit educational tradition in the Denver area along with Regis University and Regis High School.
My private practice is housed atMDS Counseling Center which is a non-profit community counseling center committed to serving the underserved as is a training facility for master's level psychotherapy students.
